Sky Hopper
Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Sky Hopper is an Android arcade game developed by Justin Merwin. This policy explains the information the game stores and how third-party advertising and consent services may process information when you play.

Sky Hopper does not require a user account and has no account-registration system. There is currently no Sky Hopper backend or database receiving player accounts or score histories.

The key distinction: your best score is stored on your device. Google’s advertising and consent services may process other information separately, as explained below.

2. Information Sky Hopper Stores

The game stores your personal best score locally on your device so you can see it on future runs. Sky Hopper does not intentionally upload that score to a Sky Hopper server or use it to maintain an online player profile.

This local game storage is separate from information processed by third-party SDKs (software components included in the app).

3. Advertising and Google AdMob

Sky Hopper uses Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share information associated with Google’s advertising services. Depending on the SDK, device settings, applicable requirements, and privacy choices, this information may include an IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers where applicable, interactions with the app, interactions with advertisements, and diagnostic information.

Google may use this information to display and measure advertising, provide analytics, prevent fraud, diagnose problems, and operate its advertising services. An IP address may also be used to estimate a device’s general location.

These examples are not an exhaustive list of Google’s practices. This third-party SDK processing is separate from Sky Hopper’s local storage of your best score and does not mean that Sky Hopper operates its own user-profile database. See Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures for more information.

4. Privacy Choices and Consent

Sky Hopper uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present applicable privacy and consent choices. Where a privacy message is shown, review it and select your preferences. Where available, use the app’s privacy options to review or change those choices.

Your available choices may depend on your region and the applicable requirements. Android’s privacy or advertising settings may also let you manage your advertising identifier. The names and availability of these settings vary by device and Android version.

Choosing not to receive personalized ads does not necessarily stop all advertising-related data processing, such as processing needed to deliver ads, measure their performance, or prevent fraud.

5. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob and Google’s UMP consent system are third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by Google’s applicable policies and the choices available to you. You can learn more here:

If you follow an advertisement or a link to another service, that service’s own privacy practices apply.

6. Children’s Privacy

Sky Hopper has no player account-registration system. The local best-score storage described above is separate from Google’s advertising processing.

Parents and guardians should review the advertising and privacy-choice sections of this policy when deciding whether the app is suitable for a child. If you have a concern about a child’s information in connection with Sky Hopper, contact Justin Merwin using the contact information below. Please do not send a child’s personal details in your initial message.

7. Data Retention

Your best score remains in the app’s local storage until that data is cleared or removed. You can clear the app’s storage through Android settings; this also resets locally stored game data. Device backup and restore behavior may depend on your Android settings.

Sky Hopper does not hold a server-side score history to delete. Information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s policies, rather than a Sky Hopper retention schedule.

8. Data Security

The best score is stored locally using the device’s app storage. Keeping your device and Android software up to date helps protect locally stored information. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Google’s handling of information within its services is governed by Google’s applicable policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the game or its data practices change. The current version will be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date revised to reflect changes.
